Welcome...

Well, you're reading The Adventure of the Carnor. It is not quite finished but it will slowly progress with a semi-set amount of the story. I encourage you to leave comments for me and so on and so forth.

And, to guarentee that parts of my story do not get stolen from me, after Chapter 1 I probably will not post anymore of the story. Sorry! But it is my invention after all!
So yeah, if you look at the archive, it's been a while since I've posted. I'm going to post every two weeks that should be easy enough...check back this Saturday for the next one!

Prologue part 1

It happened a long, long time ago. Many, many years now…it was a dark time. Miassuez Deliziair and his followers, the verniablas, held the land of Asrian in their iron grip. All of the people of Asrian were slaves to Miassuez. Life was terrible. Babies were stolen from their families as soon as they were born. The elderly were murdered after they reached a certain age. The people lived in a state of constant fear.

The verniablas were the main cause of this fear. At seven feet tall, and cloaked in black robes that shrouded their every feature, not one person knew anything about them except for this one fact. The verniablas seemed to radiate fear. Only something shrouded in such mystery could cause so much fear.

And then they came. They were our saving grace, and there were only four. They were normal people, with extraordinary powers. They were the Carnor, the Masters of the Elements. They were the ones who defeated Miassuez the first time. Fariji-swaylos was the oceagor. He could control water, and as it so happened, he had healing powers. He has been the only Carnor to ever have them. It was a mysterious occurrence. Nadia-camays was the wiagor, master of the wind. She was the only female at that time. Osvaldo-miays was the first fiagor, controller of fire. He led a dark, and terrible life filled with distrust and malice. Aemilius-vrados controlled the ground. As the eragor, he was able to build columns of rock in seconds, form shrapnel as hard as diamond in minutes and had the ultimate defense.

They miraculously defeated the verniablas and nearly killed Miassuez. But as the Carnor prepared to kill him, Nadia-camays had a moment of weakness. Her stone face broke and she begged the other three that he be spared. Reluctantly, the other three agreed. Miassuez was thrown into a five-hundred foot deep dungeon and left for ten years. Somehow he weathered the ten years suffering from only hunger. Miassuez lived. He never really forgot how Nadia-camays had spared him…he also never forgot how Fariji-swaylos, Osvaldo-miays, and Aemilius-vrados were ready to kill him.

After the ten years the Carnor thought that Miassuez was ready to emerge into the world again. That he was purged of all evil. When he was released, he made a bold and daring move. Miassuez Deliziair struck out against the Carnor. Fighting all four of the Carnor at once, the battle was so fierce that legend says that the earth shook for weeks even though the battle lasted for only three days.

And everyone knows that legend is what is told when the truth is too terrible or dangerous to know.
